Sorry for being sort of incommunicado the last several weeks; I'm not going to go into it at length here, but RL has been an issue. Rest assured, reward fics will still be written! *clearing throat*

8 drabbles were posted for challenge #53! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] butterflyflame, [livejournal.com profile] az_anneliese, [livejournal.com profile] empressvesica, [livejournal.com profile] jinxed_wood, and [livejournal.com profile] rivulet027 for playing.

challenge #54: the seven virtues

We've done the seven deadly sins before; now it's time for the seven virtues. There are two common lists; you may choose themes either from the contrary version (humility, kindness, abstinence, chastity, patience, liberality, diligence) which oppose the deadly sins, or the heavenly version (faith, hope, charity, fortitude, justice, temperance, prudence). Show the shiny and noble sides of your character! Or turn the theme on its ear in some way-- be creative, and have fun!

Additionally, you may write for an FFA pairing on any topic-- the current count is 1636 ficlets, which means we need 371 more by the end of 2007.

Happy drabbling!

Hello! *waves* No, I'm not dead. Yes, I had a good birthday, though the rest of the last few weeks doesn't bear speaking of. I haven't read anything on LJ since March 4th or so, but I'll have the important trifecta of access, time, and energy to go through it tonight, so I'll be totting up the final results here and posting a new challenge.

Those of you who know you've earned a fic-- get thinking about the kind of story you want. I'll be putting up the list of fandom choices later this evening so you can sign up for your specific request.

Bless all of you who participated! It was fun, watching all of you generate so much energy here over the last couple of months. I think I'll be making it a yearly event.

Title: Natural Elements – Chinese Style
Author: Vesica
Rating: PG
Word Count: 200 for each chapter
[livejournal.com profile] tthdrabbles Challenge: #18 – The Elements
Fic-For-All Pairing: See Each Chapter for Details.
Disclaimer: Just a bit of mucking about in other people’s sandboxes.
Summary: Chao-Ahn knew very early on she wasn’t like other girls, but she had no idea how different she was until she traveled half a world away.

Series Notes: The Chinese associate TONS of stuff with each element: a season, a stage of life, a sense, a taste, an animal, a heavenly creature – just to list a few. I chose two as themes for each elemental drabble.

Title: Wood
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Mokona (Magical Knights Rayearth)
Author’s Notes: The element of Wood is associated with the taste sour and the animal dog.
Summary: When I was a child, I spake as a child…

( Wood )

Title: Fire
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap)
Author’s Notes: The element of Fire is associated with the fruit apricot and the sense of speech.
Summary: I understood as a child, I thought as a child…

( Fire )

Title: Earth
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Mina Harker (LXG)
Author’s Notes: The element Earth is associated with the change of seasons and adulthood.
Summary:…but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

( Earth )

Title: Metal
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Death (Incarnations of Immortality)
Author’s Notes: The element Metal is associated with the feeling of worry and the sense of smell.
Summary: For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face…

( Metal )

Title: Water
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Lady Deathstrike (X-men Movieverse)
Author’s Notes: The element Water is associated with the season Winter and the life stage death (which is a strange “life phase” if you ask me).
Summary:…now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

( Water )
