Summary: Sometimes, even Hermione is stuck for answers….

Never let it be said that Hermione Granger didn’t have an answer for every eventuality… but some things, or should she say entities, defied explanation.

“So what is it then,” Ron whispered into her ear.

“Ronald Weasley, don’t you ever pay attention in class?” Hermione shot back. “It’s green, it’s scaly, it’s got horns and a good singing voice…what do you think it is?”

Ron threw her a knowing look, then smirked. “You don’t know what it is either, do you?” he asked under his breath.

“I didn’t say that.”

“You didn’t tell me what it is, either,” he pointed out. “And usually we’d be past the text book definition and onto the footnotes by now.”

A delicate frown developed on Hermione’s forehead. “Are you trying to tell me I’m a know-it-all?”

“Hogwarts forbid,” Ron muttered, rolling his eyes. “Well, you’d better figure out how we got here fast, because if you don’t I may end up there.” He nodded at the stage. “You do remember my singing voice, don’t you?”

Hermione shuddered. “Don’t remind me,” she sighed as they demon sauntered towards them. “Don't worry,the sign on the door said Caritas.”

Ron followed her eyes. "Does he look friendly to you?"
