challenge #114: dance

Write exactly 100 or 200 words featuring your chosen Buffy or Angel-verse character(s) and some form of dance: ballroom dance, endzone dance, Dance of Numfar, or even something more ... metaphorical; use your imaginations! Any crossover is welcome, but please post each drabble behind a cut, declare your wordcount, and tag appropriately. That makes counting them up so much easier on your mod!

Remember, all drabbles posted here until March 11th count toward your 2012 Mod Birthday Competition total. (And if you post to AO3, don't forget the tthdrabbles collection there.)

FYI, here are the current standings: )

Happy drabbling! This challenge will run until FEBRUARY 12.

If you've played before, you know how this works; this is the time every year when I throw the annual fic fest, complete with prizes.

The rules are simple. Write as many drabbles for the challenges here as you can, between now and my birthday. I'll be officially closing it on the 11th this year, six weeks from now. And for every author who writes six or more drabbles-- that's only one a week!-- I will match that wordcount, at a minimum. The fic you win can be crossover or not, centered on any character you choose, in any fandom I know well enough to offer.

Yes, this is a slight difference from before; you no longer get a 400 word bonus just for finishing, but on the other hand, you will earn more with double drabbles than regular drabbles. This is a strict word-for-word match (provided you at least write six drabbles), mostly due to RL demands on my time. (I'd been debating whether to run it at all, but I decided to do it one last time before passing the torch on the comm.)

I'll give weekly status updates; then, the weekend it closes, I'll put up a claims post for you to make your requests. REMEMBER: THIS IS THE LAST FEST, FOLKS. If there's something you've been dying to make me write for you, this is your last chance to make me do it to a wordcount of your choosing!

I'll post the new challenge, the first of the Mod Birthday Drabblefest, in a moment. (I will not accept for the fest any drabble not related to that week's specific challenge. No anticipating amnesty week. Sorry!) Leave any questions related to the fest on this post.

challenge #112: the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns

Time to get emotional. What kind? Who's feeling it? And why? Write exactly 100 or 200 (or, until the 31st, 300!) words involving the prompt. Define it however you please; be creative and have fun. Any crossover touching the greater Buffyverse (Buffy, Angel, Fray, and/or the comic seasons) is welcome, but please post each drabble behind a cut, and tag your posts appropriately.

This challenge will run until SEPTEMBER 11.
