TtH Drabbles

I'll be posting the next challenge here in a bit, but before I do that, I have an announcement to make. Since tthdrabbles tends to be a little slow in the winter, I'm going to throw the comm's second annual fic fest, complete with prizes.

The rules are simple. Write as many drabbles for the challenges here as you can, between now and my birthday. That's March 10th, six weeks away. And for every author who writes six or more drabbles-- that's only one a week!-- I will write a minimum of 1,000 words of fiction in my fandoms, crossover or not, centered on any character you choose.

And there's more. For every drabble you write over the six-drabble limit, I will add 100 words to that minimum value. Which means if you were crazy enough to write fifty, like az_anneliese did last year, I'd have to give you at least 5,400 words of fic.

Just FYI, fandoms I'm willing to write (or cross) for this competition include at a minimum B:tVS, A:tS, Firefly/Serenity, Harry Potter, Jane Austen, Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and almost any other fandoms you might find in my fic list.

Is that motivation enough? Get writing, and then make me write for you! *grin*

challenge #70: double trouble

Write 100 or 200 words connecting any B:tVS or Angel character to any other character(s) played by the same actor. For example, Illyria and Kathryn Tully; or Buffy and Daphne Blake; or Caleb and Mal Reynolds; or-- use your imaginations! Whether they're just look-alikes, or turn out to be related, or are actually the same person, doesn't matter; the nature of the connection is entirely up to you. Any applicable crossover is welcome. Be creative, and have fun!

Also, while I have your attention-- remember last year's Mod Birthday Competition? I'll be opening this year's drabble fest on January 28, a week and a half away; and as before, it will last six weeks. Once the fest opens, the more you write, the more I'll be forced to write for you!

challenge #69: gifts

Write 100 or 200 words having to do with gifts. This is not limited to the holiday season; there are many other occasions that call for gift-giving! Did your character end up in a white elephant gift exchange with someone from another fandom who has a really strange idea of what makes an appropriate present? Is someone's significant other getting them a unique birthday present? Use your imaginations. Any crossover is welcome, but keep anything rated above PG-13 behind a cut. Be creative, and have fun!
