challenge: #50 – Going For a Ride
"I can't say that I'm surprised," Rodney McKay sighed conversationally, biting into a delicious candied apple, "I've known for years that the man is criminally unbalanced - anyone with half a brain could have figured that out."
"The Ancients have much to answer for, that is certain," Teyla added diplomatically, looking around her uncertainly and strengthening her already tighter than necessary grip on the handrail.
"Oh please!" Rodney spat, showering Ronon, who had somehow managed to squeeze himself into the seat opposite him while grunting lightly, with a fine spray of apple chunks, "this is so typical! Of course the Ancients left some harmless looking doodad just lying around, and of course the Colonel just had to touch it, and of course it would pull him and any innocent bystander into some bizarre and pointless fantasy of his own making."
Looking around him, Rodney slumped a little before adding, “which all comes out to me being one of those poor unfortunate souls, stranded on the ferris wheel that is John Sheppard’s twisted little mind, with no end in sight. Do you have anything to add?” he directed at the latter.
“Wheeeee!” said the Colonel, throwing his hands in the air.
