She opened her eyes. Shit. Standing over the bed she was on wearing green scrubs was the guy who's brains she'd fucked out two nights earlier. The one she'd told that her name was Faith. Buffy was going to kill her. Well, if whatever it was that had her asking for morphine the second her mouth started working didn't manage it first.
"Faith? Or should I say Dawn?"
Her mouth opened, yet she couldn't make words come out. This Want. Take. Have. thing didn't seem to be working to well for her.
"Dawn. Can you tell me what happened? Who did this to you?"
Sure Ray, it was the demon, the one I killed in a Chicago warehouse last night that did it. Yeah, that would go down real well.
"Uh, I don't, I-"
"Yo, Little D?"
Oh, god. Could this get any worse?
"Faith." His eyes widened. "I'm over here."
"Shit. B's gonna kill me."
"Not until she's finished with me, she won't."
Faith snorted in disbelief, "Yeah, right. Hey, aren't you the guy from that band the other night, the one that D-"
"Uh - yeah. Ray, Dr. Ray Barnett. Your sister? She's going to be just fine-"
