He’d been fighting a master vampire when it happened.

Everything had been going fine and it looked like he would be heading home early, possibly to pack and move on. That’s when he made a mistake. He got distracted and it cost him his life.

He understood all this; he understood that he was dead. What he didn’t understand was these people telling him that he was to continue fighting.

Apparently the PTB thought he was fit to guide witches as something called a whitelighter. He really didn’t like the idea but at least he would be able to continue bothering Angel. With that in mind Connor had agreed to be a good little warrior and continue fighting as a whitelighter.

Currently he was waiting for someone named Chris, who was going to teach him about his new powers and help him get settled in. The PTB, or rather the Elders, told him was going to be helping some witches called the Charmed Ones, Chris was already their whitelighter but they needed some extra help. Connor wondered why California was a hot spot for demon activity.

His main concern at the moment, however, was how he would tell his father.
