She had made him promise. London. Hold up the stick she insisted he have with him at all times, catch the Knight Bus. It was bright purple and would appear when he held up the stick. From there, Hogsmeade and the school Hogwarts. He was to tell the portrait of her nephew that she was gone.

Purple bus. Check. Strange bus conductor who thought Euros were exotic and would let the lack of sickles go for his money collection. Check.

Really strange town. And the Castle in the distance that had to be the school.

"Who are you and what is your business at Hogwarts. It's July, school is out of session." Whoo boy. Scary guy doing a bad vampire impression.

"I promised....Anya....if anything... happened... to her I was to go and tell a painting at the school. The painting was a relative. The painting is of Salazar Slytherin, its somewhere in the school I promised that I'd go tell the painting."

"Anya?"

"Aud...Aud Eimersdotter would be the name the painting knew her by she said..."

"I'll floo the headmaster and see if Salazar can verify he knows Aud."

Soon Xander was on his way to the castle to speak to a portrait.

What a fabulous idea for a crossover. I second the poster who would absolutely love to see this in a longer version, or continued in any form. I think the idea of Anya as Slytherin's relative is just priceless. Nicely done.

I agree with everyone else on the story and the possibility to continue it. I also wanted to say great tone. Overall funny and sweet, with the references to Snape and Stan, and Xander following Anya's list. But his resolution and doggeded counting of the steps gave it a real sence of the grief and hanging together. (Certainly much better than I could describe what you did.)

I know that most with most drabbles the authors have no intention on continuing, however if you do continue I will definitely read the story as I find the idea really intriguing. ^_^

second, third and fourthing the request for continuation, I'll definitely read this, should you continue it. And it's a beautiful drabble, by the way.
