His lips are the best part of his face. Not that his eyes were anything to laugh at. In fact, she loves his eyes, too.

But they aren’t what drew her in, made her stop dead in her tracks and rethink everything she’d heard about this man. . .myth. . . nightmare.

He was regal, that was for sure. But it wasn’t the regalness, either. Not the nose, or the cheekbones. Not the way he could look down on her without even trying.

No, it was definitely the lips.

Willow smiled and leaned back, pulling black silk sheets up to her bare chest; thinking on that moment.

He had turned to her in the hall as she called out for him to slow down. She had to ask him something, after all. Had to get help with her lesson plans for the new school year.

And those lips . . .

Those pale, thin lips.

She shivered.

Even as they curled into their final destination, she had known without a doubt that she had to have more. Had to find out what other expressions those lips could twist into.

“Love at first sneer,” she laughed to herself. “Love you, Sev.”
