Blonde hair, crystalline eyes -- he was Spike reincarnate.
They met in Italy, just outside a café in Florence. He bought her a coffee and they spoke of England. He'd never heard of Manchester United.
She took him home with her that evening.
Four days later, she witnessed him using magic. The next day, she told him of her gift.
Within a month, they were engaged.
A month after that, the dark wizard Voldemort attacked the school of Hogwarts. Draco responded to the summons, although he'd long since been known as a traitor.
Buffy was shopping with Willow. The redhead could feel the battle begin.
Buffy arrived on the scene in time to witness her beloved's execution -- at the hands of his own father.
She was reminded of the time Glory took Dawn away. It had broken her, then.
She wasn't about to let it, now.
When it was all said and done, very little remained of Lucius Malfoy. And even less remained of his Master.
The Slayer had taken her revenge.
And seven months later, when she held her crystalline-eyed daughter in her arms for the first time, she felt that broken piece inside of her begin to mend.
