Faith mentally tugged on the Scythe again and unlike last time, it appeared in her hands.  B was going to be pissed: Faith had stolen it away from her during her clean-up, but Faith needed it more than B right now.  That was how the Scythe worked, it always appeared to the Slayer that needed it the most.  Faith liked to claimed that Buffy was Fate's favorite, but Fate was probably the most fair 'parent' in the 'verse.

Faith jumped into the fight with the Reavers, protecting River's back.  She heard the first mate and the mercenary swear now that there was a second friendly to shoot around.  She heard the doc hurry to the infirmary prepare for the inevitable injuries.  She heard Serenity revv, Kaylee and Mal had it ready to go.

Faith had a sister to fight over the toys with, she had a sister to protect from the bullies.  She had bullies to kill.  She had a couple of friends to watch her back and more friends ready with the get-away vehicle.  She also had a friend to put her back together after the fight.  Faith had everything that she could possibly want

Faith had a home.
