Title: Comfort of Strangers
Word Count: 100
Fandom: BtVS, Batman/Nightwing (I'm a wee indecisive)
Challenge: #116, home sweet home
Disclaimer: I own nothing except the words, and that's up for philosophical debate.
Summary: There's something about knowing that gives Buffy comfort.
Notes: sequel to my unpublished Nightwing story for challenge #114. hopefully, it'll go up during amnesty week. :)

"You alright, Slayer?"

"Hunky-dory. Why do you ask?"

"Usually when I swing you around the city you’re hiding your face in my shoulder trying not to puke."

"Only the one time!"

The grunt at her back begged to differ. Batman was right. She had been terrified of flying through the city, doing her level best to not need his aerial help. But there was something about knowing who Grayson’s father was...

"Okay. Twice. But I’m over that now."

Another grunt.

Buffy grinned.

"What are you smiling about, Slayer?"

"How do you know I’m smiling?"

"You squirm less when you’re scared."
