Title: Let Me Change Your Mind
Fandoms: Angel the Series/Firefly

“I’m sorry, mate, I ain’t renegotiating the price,” the short man in front of Angel, a smug look on his face. “It is what it is, and that’s th’ price you’ll have to pay.”

Angel frowned, not even bothering to hide his annoyance. He needed an Orb of Janus to get back from wherever this last demon had sent him, and this Badger fellow was the only one who had one. Unfortunately, Angel didn’t have near the exorbitant amount the little man was demanding for it.

Making up his mind, Angel changed to his vamp-face.

“What about now?” he asked.

Fandoms: Firefly/Doctor Who

As soon as the TARDIS stabilized, Martha followed the Doctor towards the doors.

“So, when are we exactly?” she asked, one hand on the door. They had just come back from dealing with the Weeping Angels, and she wasn’t exactly eager to jump into another situation that would leave them stranded without the TARDIS for six months.

“The Raxtherwed Consortium in the thirty-sixth century,” the Doctor answered with a grin as he opened the door to reveal…

“What th’ hell is going on?” a short man in a bowler hat demanded.

“So maybe I got it wrong,” the Doctor admitted.

Title Lawyered
Fandoms: Doctor Who/BSG
Word Count: 200

“What exactly do you want me to say?” Martha asked the lawyer sitting across the table from her, resisting the urge to tap her fingers repeatedly against the cold metal. “It’s not like I knew Baltar personally.”

“But you are a well respected member of Galactica, are you not, Doctor Jones?” Romo Lampkin asked, eyes inscrutable behind his trademark dark sunglasses. “What were the conditions like before the Cylons arrived?”

Martha leaned bac, her suspicions about the direction of Baltar’s defense confirmed. It was the only strategy that made any sense in her mind, making it seem like Baltar had the best interests of the colonists at heart when he allowed the Cylons to come take over.

“Primitive at best,” Martha conceded, thinking back to the constant shortages of medicine and how many people they lost to preventable diseases.

“And after the Cylons?” he prompted.

“I read somewhere that, ‘whoever sacrifices liberty for security deserves neither,’” Martha answered quietly. “So yes, while we had medicine, we now had more pressing concerns than treating the flu.”

“Please refrain from the social commentary while on the stand,” he told her. “Now, going back to my first question. What were the conditions like?”

Title: Your Eyes Only
Fandoms: BSG/Dark Angel

Logan resisted the urge to check his watch, waiting for his contact to arrive. He didn’t have any fondness for Romo Lampkin, but the lawyer was normally on time and had some decent information for him to use.

“Here’s the file on Zarack that you wanted,” a gruff voice said behind him. Lampkin appeared, looking more worn out than Logan had ever seen him.

“You OK?” Logan asked.

“Whatever gave you the impression that I wasn’t?” Lampkin replied in a biting voice. “Just don’t let anyone find you with that file,” he continued before Logan could answer and walked away.

Title Here's My Card
Fandom: Dark Angel/Supernatural
Word Count: 100

Logan was sitting in a café, when a man dressed in black slipped into the seat across from him.

“I hear you’re looking into one of my clients,” he said. “I’m here to tell you to stop.”

“Who the hell are you?” Logan demanded.

“The name’s Crowley. Just one name, like Prince. Or was that before your time?” Crowley asked.

“What do you want?”

“Leave Carter and Bays alone,” Crowley told him. “Say yes, and I’ll throw in a little gift. Get rid of that pesky disease your girlfriend has. Here’s my card.”

Before Logan could respond, the man vanished.

With shaking hands, Wesley buried the box at the crossroads. He had told nobody about his last, desperate gamble to get Fred back. As soon as he finished, he straightened and took a step back, waiting for the crossroads demon to answer.

“Well, you’re just about the last person I expected to see here.” Wesley turned around to see a man dressed in black standing several feet behind him, a smirk on his face.

“I could say the same for you, Crowley,” Wesley answered. “I thought you contracted out.”

“For something like this, I like to handle the transaction myself.”

“So you know what I want?” Wesley demanded.

“I know you want the God King out of your girlfriend,” Crowley answered, walking closer. “Can’t be done. There are some things that I can’t do, not if I want to keep my head.”

“But…” Wesley began before Crowley interrupted him.

“However, there is another way,” he continued, a gleam in his eye. “Take the last bit of her that’s still there and use that as a base. It’s going to cost, though. You say yes, you’ll have one year.”

Wesley didn’t need to think before sealing the deal with a kiss.
