Notes: Takes place in the same 'verse as my other drabbles in the fandom found at chapters 41-48 of Snapshots.



“He’s too normal,” is the first comment he overhears, this from Andrew.

“He’s a cop,” is the next, from Willow, trying to pacify.

“He won’t be able to handle it, just like Captain Cardboard,” that’s Spike.

He hears Dawn laugh, “he’s not Riley, he can take it – he already has.”

Kennedy wanders in from the kitchen, “I’m with the guest-age on this one; too normal.”

Then Xander stands from where he’s been leaning against a window, “I think she’s got it, this time.”

At Spike’s snort he continues, grinning “Doesn’t mean he’s not getting the full shovel speech, right Wills?”
