Buffy not was ashamed of her habits and friends from May to August. It wasn’t that Buffy was afraid that her indiscretions would follow her back to the Watcher’s Council; Hardison would have erased any trail.

But she still had trouble meeting Giles’ knowing eyes.

So what if there had been a little thieving, grifting and some explosions (okay, a lot of all)? Buffy had had fun. Hardison was an un-jaded, tall, black, straight Willow. Parker was a really sweet Drusilla. They were her friends.

Buffy had returned when the Apocalypse was nigh.

Next time, she’d meet Giles’ eyes defiantly.
