Announcing the Fifth Annual Mod Birthday Fest!

If you've played before, you know how this works; this is the time every year when I throw the annual fic fest, complete with prizes.

The rules are simple. Write as many drabbles for the challenges here as you can, between now and my birthday. That's March 10th, though I'll be officially closing it on the 14th this year, six weeks from now. And for every author who writes six or more drabbles-- that's only one a week!-- I will write a minimum of 1,000 words of fiction in my fandoms, crossover or not, centered on any character you choose. And there's more. For every drabble you write over the six-drabble limit, I will add 100 words to that minimum value.

I'll give weekly status updates; then, the weekend it closes, I'll post a list of what past winners have received and put up a claims post for you to make your requests.

I'll post the new challenge, the first of the Mod Birthday Drabblefest, in a moment. (Remember: I will not accept for the fest any drabble not related to that week's specific challenge. No anticipating amnesty week. Sorry!) Leave any questions related to the fest-- this one, or past ones-- here, on this post.

Yay! Looking forward to getting somewhere with this again this year - and maybe it'll kick the muses back into gear - the Castle/BtVS crossover kickstarted by last year's drabbles stalled at 7,500 words last July...
