Word Count: 200
Fandom: BtVS/NCIS
Challenge: #100 - Down For The Count
Disclaimer: I didn't create the characters, I'm just playing with them.
Xander grimaced in pain. Demon dead. That part was according to plan. Breaking a leg in the process wasn’t.
He didn’t like it, but there was no help for it. Short of calling 911, he had no other option. He just hated to involve his half-sister in…well, in his life. He loved her, he really did. Visits to her and her mother down in Louisiana had been the highlight of his childhood. He’d never lost touch with her completely.
But ever since Buffy had come blasting into his life, unwittingly dragging vampires, demons, and top-secret military experiments in her wake, he’d kept all that well away from the one good person in his family. Hell, he hadn’t even invited her to the wedding that wasn’t.
Which, he was sure, she would so be taking out of his hide later. Once she was sure that his hide would survive to the later part.
Sighing, he punched the numbers on his phone and prayed his sister hadn’t changed jobs or numbers since the last time he’d heard from her.
“Hi, Abbs!”
He waited for the excited squeal to stop before he spoke again.
“Yeah, I’m in town. There’s just one little problem…”
