Disclaimer: I didn't create the characters, I'm just playing with them.
A/N: Almost forgot!
Abby paled and swore silently. Then she thanked her lucky stars Gibbs hadn’t walked in to see her latest results.
So not good.
It couldn’t be. This was the third sample in as many weeks, and she was running out of ways to cover for things showing up at NCIS crime scenes that should not be there. The first time, she’d chalked it up as a fluke. The second time, she’d started to get nervous.
Third time is enemy action.
It wasn’t the way she normally thought, but you couldn’t hang around so many ex-military types for so long without a few things rubbing off.
This time, she’d be contacting her friends on the internet, from that site that McGee thought was only for laughs, who had told her that if the demonic ever poked its bloodsucking head up in her vicinity, they knew people who could take care of it.
She’d never asked Willow or Andrew what they’d meant by that, and Willow had never explained, but Abby knew one thing- she did not want anyone she worked with being attacked by a vamp. She’d lost a friend once, and she did not intend to let it happen again.

Date: 2010-12-19 09:13 am (UTC)So often BtVS/NCIS crossovers have Abby as the innocent, the last (or nearly the last) to find out that vampires are a) real, and b) evil. But given Abby's forensic skills it does seem much more in character for her to know far more than she's telling, and to perhaps even use her Goth persona as an excuse to keep up on the latest protective measures against things demonic. I'm ashamed I never realized that until reading your drabble here.
