(Amnesty) Challenge #58
Mar. 8th, 2010 08:18 pmTitle: Off on the Wrong Foot
Word count: 200
Fandom: Star Wars/Buffy
Challenge: #58 - first impressions
Summary: Buffy and Obi-Wan's first hour together could have had a better start, to say the least.
Disclaimer: Joss owns "Buffy," Lucas owns "Star Wars," I own my suitcase.
Buffy resisted the urge to pound her head against the wall. It had only been an hour, and Obi-Wan Kenobi was a pain in her ass. She didn't need him peeking over her shoulder, questioning everything she had done prior to the Senator's arrival, while she was still trying to process what had happened. Her friends were dead, and she was left to pick up the pieces.
"Did you hear my question?" he demanded as she scanned the latest updates from the site. She would rather be out there than stuck in here with him.
"I heard you, I just chose to ignore you, Ben," she answered, taking perverse pleasure in seeing his jaw clench.
"Now is not the time to act like a youngling," he said tersely. "I would think you of all people would realize this." Buffy's head shot up and her eyes narrowed in a deadly glare.
"Don't even think you know what's going on here or with me, Mullet Man" she hissed at him. "Go be high and mighty somewhere else, and let me figure out who did this. I don't need your help."
He was silent, but she could sense disapproval. Whatever. He could deal.
