As the ’67 Impala tore along the dark highway the riffs of ‘Back in Black’ resounded through the desert. Dean, one hand on the wheel, one beating a drumbeat on the passenger seat, nodded in time to the music as he drove.
Sam was curled up on the backseat, fast asleep, years of desensitisation making him oblivious to the blaring music. The passenger was less happy.
“Don’t you have any punk? New Wave?” Spike asked with disdain.
“Hey. Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole. Or he gets his head chopped off,” Dean replied before turning up the volume.
