Dawn sighed. This was supposed to be a vacation- and not the working kind! They had picked their destination for its lack of supernatural activity. Sun, sea, sand- their Caribbean getaway was meant to be a chance for Buffy to relax and chill out. Instead, she was running around trying to track down a local legend. Dawn didn’t see what the fuss was about, really. The Flying Dutchman allegedly called on a remote stretch of beach here once every ten years, that being the only time its captain, Will Turner, could come ashore. Who cared if it was about due?

Dawn had thought she’d seen a lot of death in her life. She’d lived in Sunnydale and survived multiple apocalypses. You didn’t see what she’d survived and not know death. But nothing had prepared her for the day she messed up the portal she’d opened to Delphi.

She’d meant the Delphi ruins in Greece. She’d spent a confused half hour wandering around the eerily deserted modern city she’d landed in before she’d found a map of the shopping district. She was in Delphi, but on the wrong planet- Caprica. And at a very wrong time. The bodies told her that.
