“I saved your life.”

Lilah eyed the teenager who stood before her. "Look, kid...”

“My name’s Clark.”

“Whatever. You didn’t save my life.”

“That vampire was about to kill you.”

Clark had learned about vampires during his visit to LA. When he had seen this woman being attacked, he automatically staked the vamp.

Lilah snorted, “He just got off on threatening me.” She looked at Clark’s downcast face and smirked. She dug into her purse. “Here,” she handed him a few hundred dollars. “Buy yourself something nice.”

She couldn’t believe Angel had been killed by some teenager. Lindsey would freak.
