A Day to Remember

Methos placed a bottle of beer on the table in front of Giles who looked up at the elder Immortal in surprise.

“You’re buying? What on earth is the occasion?”

He warily picked up the bottle and examined it for booby traps, and sniffed for poison. Satisfied it wasn’t dangerous he looked back to his teacher.

“Today is the three thousandth anniversary of the day we met,” Methos replied.

“Seriously? How do you remember the date?” Giles asked. Methos sat down beside him and leaned over conspiratorially.

“I don’t. But it got Joe to stump up for two free beers.”

Mitchell found George sprawled on the sofa, beer in one hand, bag of crisps in the other. George grunted at him in greeting.

“You’re in a mood today; not your time of the month is it?” Mitchell asked pushing George’s feet to the floor to sit down. George shook his head.

“Not for another week. It’s the anniversary of Tully ...”

“Oh. Well, this might help,” Mitchell said pulling a piece of paper out. He gave it to George. “The number for a guy who says he can control the change, and more importantly teach you to. His name’s Oz.”

Oz helping George? Would be cool. Unless he stakes Mitchell...

(I only saw the original pilot a year ago. I'm waiting until the series is done to watch it in one sitting)
