challenge #78: summer event
Jul. 28th, 2008 11:44 amWell! That last challenge fell flatter than a pancake, so let's try something new for a Summer Event.
challenge #078: six degrees of crossing over
You remember the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game? Well, this is kind of similar. Write six crossover drabbles-- and for this one, I'm not holding you to 100/200 words exactly on each of them-- starting and ending with a Buffy-verse cross, but not repeating any others, while passing a theme, object, message, weather pattern, etc. (but not a person, because that adds extra crossovers) between each of them.
For example: Featuring, say, different iterations of bizarre toaster technology and their uses and/or consequences? (1) B:tVS/Stargate Atlantis, to (2) SGA/Eureka, to (3) Eureka/Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog, to (4) Dr. Horrible/CSI, to (5) CSI/Battlestar Galactica, to (6) BSG/B:tVS.
This event will run for the entire month of August, and if there's enough participation, say at least five of you, I'll recruit some graphic artists to do Six Degrees banners tailored to your crossover chains. I would love for that to be necessary. *hint hint*
Please, have some fun with the concept! The stranger the connections, the better! Remember, any crossover is welcome, but please place your drabbles behind a cut, and tag your posts appropriately.

Sorry for the questions, I just want to make sure I'm clear on the guidelines before I start planning it out.

I'm looking foward to seeing what kind of crossover chains people can come up with.

Date: 2008-08-02 07:07 pm (UTC)Feel free to make a (very brief) post with a link to your own journal warning about the RPF issue, though; I don't have a problem, personally, with people following it over there as long as it's not hosted here. =)

Okay, so 500 is stretching a little, but technically within what I said. And I'm really curious to read it. So: okay, okay, put the eyes away. =)
