Never Going to _______ Again Challenge

Summary: Dawn learns that some things are just said for placating.

 

 

Pounding, loud pounding, sledge hammer to the brain. This was like that first hangover back in college, but worse, much worse. Worse times ten. A hundred, even. Right now, all she wanted to do was lie in bed and die a slow and painful death as opposed to what seemed to her like an eternity of blazing pain.

 

“Wakey, wakey, sleepy head!” a voice chirped and suddenly, the bed sheets were pulled away from her aching, aching body. She yelped as the cool morning air chilled her body, and then howled as the pounding in her head intensified. “Ouch, that must’ve hurt.”

 

She glared at the perky figure in front of her and growled in a voice that was surprisingly menacing. “Do you want me to go over there and kill you, painfully?” He grinned and stretched out at the foot of her bed, looking up at her and grinning foolishly, his gaze on her face unwavering. “What, Jason?”

 

“Has anyone told you you’re beautiful, Dawn Summers?”

 

She snorted. “Sweet talk someone else, Jason.” She groaned, laying her head back on the pillows. “Remind me never to trust Richard when he says that the full moon doesn’t hurt, ever again.”

First time poster at tthdrabbles. 200 words on Word, exactly. Hope this is okay, first BtVS crossover.
