challenges #004 & #069

Author: kayley
Word Count: 200
Fandom: SG Atlantis
Challenge: #004 - Character: Xander
Disclaimer: Don’t own
The idea of seducing Ronan made Faith think a bit about Xander and what she had done to him. Deliberately going out of her way to use him to get at Buffy. Getting to know him in the past year, showed her what Buffy had seen in him. Someone who was like a brother, who could be there to cry on and still manage to make you smile.
Sure, he was still a dork in a way, but as Buffy and Willow had said once... “He's our dork!”
Faith knew she couldn't make the same mistake again. She couldn't just throw away the friendship of those around her because she wanted someone. She had to make this work.
The main thing that Faith knew would make sure there was a difference between Xander and Ronan was that she knew that Ronan had the strength to stop her no matter what she was doing; whereas Xander allowed her to almost kill him. He was also quite a lot older than what Xander had been.
But he had also lost someone important to him. No one could compete with the memory of his late wife. How could anyone compete against a ghost?
Title: Jealousy

Word Count: 200
Fandom: SG Atlantis
Challenge: #069 – Gifts

When SGA-1 returned from their travels, Sheppard was holding something behind his back. He hid it from view while they underwent the medical checks and the debriefing. But whatever it was, had a strange effect on Ronan. He seemed to talk even less than normal, which made him virtually silent the whole time. He also seemed to want nothing to do with anyone else and left the room very quickly after the debrief was over.
Sheppard on the other hand ignored his friend's behaviour and made his way to Faith. He pulled out the mysterious item which turned out to be a finely crafted blade.
“This is for me?” Faith asked. “Wow, it's gorgeous, thank you.”
After giving it a test swing, she went to put it with all her other weapons and noticed Ronan glaring at Sheppard from outside the control room. She smiled at him and noticed that he relaxed when he saw her.
Well that bode well for her idea of seducing him. If he was jealous of Sheppard’s gift, then it was obvious that he liked her as well.
She was glad that she had asked for Teyla's help earlier. Now was time for action.
