Xander gave a grateful sigh as the demon convulsed and gave a shuddery sigh before dying.
“Thanks. That was a good shot,” he complimented Sam.
Dean snorted. “He damned well better be.”
Sam glared.
“Am I sensing an embarrassing story?” Xander teased.
Dean grinned. “It’s part of being a Winchester, Harris. You gotta know how to handle the equipment.”
Sam and Xander rolled their eyes.
“My Dad gave me a .45 when I was nine because I was afraid of the thing in my closet,” Sam confided.
“Seriously?” Xander questioned with disbelief.
“Winchester family values,” Dean smirked. “Gotta love ‘em.”

Xander didn’t really have any thoughts beyond ‘Oh my God! What the hell is that?!’ when he met Narcissus. He’d ignored the initial knee-jerk reaction to be crass and actually tried to be polite.
From the way Narcissus had looked at him, he didn’t seem to want polite.
Which was enough to terrify Xander.
Demonic women out to date then kill and/or sacrifice him? Fine. Okay. That was just par for the course by now.
Androgynous looking men with girl parts, girl clothes and a serious BDSM kink panting after him? Really not okay.
He never returned to St. Louis.

Buffy hadn’t thought much of Harry Potter when she’d first met him. Despite the magic he seemed fragile, a little bit broken. She had been reminded of herself after her mother’s death.
She knew a lot about misleading appearances but the scrawny fifteen year old looked much younger and nothing like the guy who was supposed to fight and defeat a Dark Lord.
She kept watching.
She saw the strength, the reckless courage and a hero complex to rival her own.
He had her luck too.
He was fortunate enough to be surrounded by friends who supported and loved him.
