Drabble: New Heights
Jun. 2nd, 2004 03:22 pmTitle: New Heights
Author: HumbugGirl
Fandom: Angel/Smallville
Pairing: Connor/Lana
Rating: PG
Summary: New could be good.
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: So not mine… unfortunately.
Notes: First attempt at a tth drabble. Hope you like.
For him, this is an entirely new experience. How anyone could actually choose to waste so much time just wandering around was beyond him. For the moment though Connor found himself happy to forget his reservations because beside him there was a girl with a wonderfully bright smile on her face.
Grinning Lana pointed towards a great metal shape looming above the rest of the fair and said, “Ooh Ferris wheel. We have to go on there.” Connor looked sceptically at the wheel but she had already grabbed his hand and dragged him along behind her.
On top of the wheel he was willing to admit that it had been a good idea. Some long lost fear of heights had wheedled its way back into Lana and she was now clutching his hand and burying her face in his shoulder.
“There’s nothing to be scared of,” he said sliding an arm around her shoulders and hugging Lana closer.
“You try telling that to my stomach,” was the muffled reply and he couldn’t suppress a grin.
Slipping a finger beneath Lana’s chin he lifted her face and kissed soft lips. Lana smiled and the attraction of the fair was made clear.
