So many years I was working by his side. I was first his slayer, his charge. Then we became closer and he became like a father figure to me. Many years after that he became my husband.
He was out training some potentials the night I'd gone into his closet to find something to loan Xander something to wear to his father's funeral. I didn't expect to find a old green duffel bag with a feather hot pink boa poking out of.
After years of him wanting to know my every detail, this was something he never told me about.
We were eating dinner when I brought 'it' up. I simply reached under the table but the green bag up on the chair between us and asked. "Darling, is there anything you'd care to explain to me?"
"Bloody Hell" he mumbled and his face was redder than the tomatoes.
"I-I, didn't think you'd ever find it. I'd hoped it was something I could keep to myself, I..."
I just giggled and leaned in and kissed him softly. "It's OK sweetheart. I was a teenager too. I remember Rocky Horror, and I think it's adorable. Will you wear if for me?"
