Xander could only squeak as he was accosted.
“Uh, girls? A little help!”
He frowned as no one came forward to peel the guy away from him. Were they drooling?! What good was having slayers around if they couldn’t stop a guy from getting jumped?
“Why are you hugging me? Is this some candid camera thing or just a random drive-by hugging?”
The guy pulled away, revealing movie-star good looks. Well, that explains the girls. Even I think he‘s pretty.
“Gray! God--I can’t believe I found you!”
“I’m sorry, sir.” He tried to extricate himself from the man’s embrace but he only held on tighter. “I’m thinking you got the wrong guy. I’m Xander, not Gray.”
“You are Gray. I’d know my own brother anywhere, anywhen!”
Xander wanted to laugh, as if he’d ever get mistaken for this guy’s brother. He was charismatic and handsome where Xander was goofy and cute. No way were they related. But the guy was serious, his blue eyes were burning with desperate hope and Xander didn’t have the heart to mock.
“How about you let me go, tell me your name, and we can talk about this.”
The man smiled. “Captain Jack Harkness.”
