Xander shrugged and started pointing out groups. “Teal’c and Buff are talking about dismembering people--don’t ask, Wills and Sam are all about the math-slash-science stuff,” they shuddered. “Giles and Daniel are arguing, something about the best book about something or other.”
Xander and Jack shared a short, wordless, but deeply empathetic exchange.
“So Xander, you like pie?” the colonel questioned lazily.
“My love of pie has been known to exceed my adoration of the donut--though not the jelly-filled kind--why?”
“We’ve got blueberry.”
“You had me at pie.”
…
“You need guy time.”
“God, yes.”
