By: Polgara (melindoranightsilver@hotmail.com)
Wordcount: 100
Fandom: BtVS/Without a Trace
Challenge: #72 forgotten and remembered
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I own none of these characters.
Summary: Martin Fitzgerald receives a call.
One's Potential
Martin’s face paled as he listened to his sister’s frantic voice on the other end of the line. A long forgotten memory swam to the surface and threatened to drown him.
His sister sitting on the couch crying. A strange British man looming over his family. His father’s face red with anger. His mother’s declaration that they couldn’t take her. The stranger insistently claiming his sister’s potential. Him peering down at the scene from the second floor through the banisters.
Now his sister said she was no longer a potential. His sister had been forever changed.
She was a slayer.
Crap, sorry Jeddibuttercup. I posted this before I realized a new challenge had been issued. If you want me to, I can delete it...
