summary: Matthew McCormick remembers everything but her eye color.

He couldn’t recall the color of his second wife’s eyes, but they sparkled with mischief like hers. Her hair had been a rather dull shade of brown though, nothing like the molten fire pooling around Willow’s shoulders. He could see his long buried wife in this girl. It was in the way she moved, how she smiled, and the way she held his gaze whilst threatening him with bodily harm should he hurt her friend. Maybe it should have hurt, seeing her all the time, but it didn’t. Matthew of Salisbury didn’t pause often enough to dwell on the past.
