title: Pitching Woo
word count:  101
fandom: BtVS/Black Books
challenge:. Shakespeare
notes: Bernard Black knows what the ladies like…

“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” he suddenly exclaimed. Willow flinched away as he flung himself onto the desk in front of her, reclining in a way both coy and horribly unappealing.
“What?” she gasped, clutching the old tome to her chest.
“Don’t you woo with Shakespeare in America?” he asked, gesturing with his half empty wine glass.
“Woo? Woo who?”
He scrunched his face into an unaccustomed, rather smarmy grin. “I am pitching woo. Now then… Rough winds shall shake the darling buds of May…”
“Mr Black…” she began, backing away.
“Hush!” he commanded.
She was already gone.
