“I must confess, I was at a complete loss; it’s like no form of Egyptian I recognise. I thought your expertise in ancient languages might shed some light,” Giles explained, polishing his glasses. Daniel nodded, still intent on the glyphs on the photograph he held.
“And where was it you found these?” he asked.
“On a golden sarcophagus, in a cavern near Wookey Hole in Somerset. We left it in situ, guarded,” Giles replied. Another nod from the companion. “So, can you read it? What does it say?”
His companion looked up at him finally.
“We’ve got trouble,” replied Daniel.
