"How can I help you?" Eric said to the blond man.
"No-no, please don't touch... Bad man I am, not worth redeeming." Spike said curling into a fetal position crying, and also talking to himself. "Used to be my favorite thing, to hurt others, now all I do is hurt, hurt for them. I'm so sorry."
"Don't be silly. God forgives all. "Tell me your name, son."
Spike stuttered, "Sp-- I mean William."
"OK, then William, what can I do for you?" Eric asked
"I'm not sure you can help me." Spike said a little more steadier, and calmer. "I've been a bad boy. I deserve to be beaten, I want pain. I want punishment."
Eric looked at him sadly. He knew Annie or Lucy might be able to help out. He called home, Ruthie answered. "No else is home dad. They went over to Kevin's.
"Well please call Annie and ask her if she wouldn't mind coming here. I need her to help with something at the church."
Ruthie whined. "I can help too. Let me come on down, I am 17 after all."
"OK Ruthie, come on down, then. I'll give you details when you get here. Thanks Ruthie"
